4th of June 2006 Jaikoz v1.2.0 Build 1011 released.
This release is primarily a stability and performance release
General Enhancements
Performance reading files increased by 300%
Performance writing files increased by 200%
Variable bit rate is now calculated accurately
Playing time is now calculated accurately
Playing time is now used when matching multiple matches from MusicBrainz to give more accurate results
Synchronisation is now implemented for ID3 v23 tags
Previously when files were moved as result of autocorrection renaming the subfolder the original folder was deleted if it was now empty. This could be confusing and is no longer the default behaviour, automatic deletion of empty folders can be enabled from the Save Settings menu.
Previously the autocorrecter would rename the files and folder according to the tags. This could be confusing and is no longer the default behaviour, these can be added back into the Autocorrecter using the AutoCorrecter Settings menu.
General Bug Fixes
Previously error messages were not always being shown when an unxpected error occurred in the application
Previously Correct Filename from Tags did not do anything if the title tag was empty, now as long as the resulting new filename is not empty the correction will be performed
Previously the memory checker was too restrictive preventing the loading of large filesets even when memory was available, this restriction has been removed
Previously Jaikoz had problems handling certain cases of tags created in other applications incorrectly. For example some applications create TDRC frames for IDv23 tags although they are not added until ID3v24, Jaikoz now correctly identifies these tags as unknown for ID3v23 tags.
Previously Jaikoz had problems handling tags with both TDRC and TORY frames, this has now been resolved.
Windows
Windows download is now a zipfile containing an exe rather than an exe
