10th of March Jaikoz v1.5.0 Build 1020 released.

This release adds a number of new editing features, and improves both performance and reliability

Restrictions
  • Unfortunately the Retrieve Acoustic Ids feature has been further delayed for Intel Macs (it is available for PPC Macs), additionally this feature on PPC Macs is slower than on Windows and Linux, these problems should be resolved very soon
New Features
  • The Duplicate Music Brainz Id Filter and Duplicate MusicIP Acoustic Id Filters can filter the records to only show duplicate files, making it very easy to remove your duplicates and decide on the ones to keep.
  • The Duplicate Music Brainz Id Highlighter and Duplicate MusicIP Acoustic Id Highlighters is an alternative view that highlights duplicates fields without hiding any records.
  • Track renumbering lets you renumber selected records in their sort order, tracks numbers are automtically incremented starting from the first track number.
  • Find has been added for tables, so you can search for values easily.
  • Paste to Start and Paste to End allow you to paste copied cells into the start or end of a group of fields rather than replacing completely.
  • Swap lets you swap field values between fields in adjacent columns, there are also predefined options for swapping between some popular columns such Artist <-> Column.
  • Prepend to Left and Prepend to Right work similar to Paste to Start and Paste to End but allow you to prepend the adjacent field value for each of the selected fields , rather than prepending the same value into each
  • In Save Settings there is a new tab for iTunes compatability, to make your records work better within iTunes
  • Music Brainz Settings, now allows you to skip over records which have already been matched.
  • There is now an automatic retry mechanism in place for when you match from MusicBrainz, thats copes with the MusicBrainz server being busy
  • Table Columns can now be resized automatically so they are just wide enough to display their data by double clicking on the column header seperator
  • A Table Control has been added that allows you to resize all columns, and to mke columns visible or hidden easily
  • Save and Move lets you save and then move selected records to a new folder easily, they will then be removed from the Jaikoz display
  • Force Save, resaves all selected files even if you have not edited them, this is useful for rewriting to file using any additional save flags
  • There is now a status bar that provides additional information about how many files are loaded, and if any filters are active
  • Jaikoz is now supported on Java 1.6
Enhancements
  • Moving of table columns performance has been improved.
  • Table header sort buttons match the buttons of the operating system
  • The accuracy of Retrieve Acoustic ids has been improved
  • Artwork is now saved in a format that overcomes a problem with iTunes.

  • Correct Filename from Tags now works properly when the tag field values contain the '.' character
  • Files with metadata less than 100 bytes in length are now read back properly by Jaikoz.
  • Now able to convert ID3v24 tags to ID3v23 tags when they contain both a TDRC frame and a TYER frame
  • The Menu and Toolbar now appear disabled when Jaikoz is busy
  • Previously View record by Unique Id in MusicBrainz was showing the record selected in the table, now it shows the record selected in the row header.
OSX Enhancements
  • You can now run Jaikoz directly from the mounted disk image instead of copying the application to the /Applications folder if you wish.

Linux Fixes
  • Get Acoustic Ids is now able to successfully analyse the majority of files.
