I have a large iTunes library copied over from an old drive. The library was divided into parts and some of the artists names have variations. The iTunes library itself is pretty sorted but the file naming on the drive and folder structure is all over the place.
Is it possible to have Song Kong use the meta data inside iTunes to re-save the folder/file name and move them to the correct folders and re-save them back to iTunes?
It important I don't have artists who are on a compilation not moved into the artist folder. Each song should stay with Album or EP (I have quite a few mp3 from Beatport)
By default iTunes renames songs based on their metadata, so usually if the folder structure is wrong the metadata is wrong. Or have you turned that off (iTunes:Advanced:Keep iTunes Media folder organized)
If you have turned that off then SongKong can certainly rename files and folders based on metadata but currently only for songs that have been identified to MusicBrainz. Set Basic:For songs already matched to Musicbrainz to Update Metadata and Filename Only

Can you rewrite that sentence without the negatuves Im not sure what you are saying.
I didn't mean you were being negative just that the sentence would have been easier to understand if you said what you wanted not what you didn't want, but Im glad my other answer solved your problem.
