First off the is the BEST tag fixer program out there hands down in my opinion.

My question is when doing a musicbrainz or discogs search everything works good but some of the songs that dont get matched up to an album automatically get the name of the folder they are in as there album title. I have all the preferences just the way i want them. For album I only want to add the info if its blanks. It doesnt do this for all the songs with missing album name about 50% or so and i can not figure out why. I Tweaked a lot of the preferences to get it the way i like so i could have changed something by accident but cant figure out what. Any help is appreciated

Thanks

I had the same problem and I mailed it to Paul. He raised https://jthink.atlassian.net/browse/JAIKOZ-1100. This error is now fixed in Jaikoz 8.4.2 Released 15th January 2016. This error doesn't happen to me anymore.

I am on that version now. I cannot open that link you provided. The other weird thing it does is it does not highlight those changes in blue like it does for all the other changes you make.

Thanks Joe

The hyperlink just had a trailing '.', try this https://jthink.atlassian.net/browse/JAIKOZ-1100

The issue that Alfg reported is certainly fixed in the latest version of Jaikoz, and it does sound like you have the same issue

I definitely do have that problem. So frustrating. I can live without the album titles for now, I was gonna try to re-install it but when i click on uninstall it just opens the program up am i missing something?

Thanks Joe

There may be a problem with the uninstaller, just reinstall over the existing installation. Also send me your support files (Advanced:Create Support Files) that would help me.

Ah Joe I think Ive realized the issue, the songs you sent me are getting matched, the problem is because you have Album set to Replace If Empty rather than the more usual Always Replace.

So
1. The files have no existing metadata so Jaikoz trys to guess the artist/album/title from the filename to aid better matching.
2.Its finds a good match
3.Because its find a good match it doesn't revert changes to artist/album/title because expects them to be overwritten when you update the song with the good match.
4. But because you have the Replace If Empty option set when it looks at the songs it sees Album already set to Desktop and therefore doesn't modify it.

This is clearly a bug and I have raised https://jthink.atlassian.net/browse/JAIKOZ-1124

In the meantime all I can suggest is you set the value back to Overwrite Always for Album (and Artist/Title if changed these as well). Then use View/Show View Pane to compare before and after before saving so you can revert any changes Jaikoz has made that you dont like.
