I am using SongKong 3.24

My genre setting is "Always Replace Values" from "Discog Style" w/ "Max no of Genres" set to 9.

I have tried saving in Metatag version 2.3 and 2.4

No matter what I try, the outputted genre does not have a deliminator between the multiple genre values:

For example: the genre in my MP3 looks like "Country RockFolk Rock" instead of "Country Rock;Folk Rock" for the following album:

https://www.discogs.com/Bob-Dylan-John-Wesley-Harding/master/4129

Can anyone help? Thanks.

What are you viewing them in, the delimiter is the null value 0x00 - this is standard for ID3v24 - take a look at the file in a hex editor (such as the HexEdit mode of Ultraedit)

It may be when saving as v23 its not resaving the field, try modifying he no of genres to one and then back to two to change the data and ensure being resaved to v23.

If you populate the grouping field as well, that will store as a single line with a visible seperator.

I reran a file to save in ID3v2.3 and opened the file in ultraedit. I have attached a screenshot. As can be seen (in the highlighted row), there is no null character between Country Rock and Folk Rock in the TCON field. Please help.

addendum - i am getting an error message when including an attachment to this post. I will send the attachment to support@jthink.net (let me know if you would like me to send to another email address)

Sorry for the delay, you are correct there is a bug with ID3v23 - there is no seperator https://jthink.atlassian.net/browse/SONGKONG-991

But it does work okay with ID3v24, so that would be the workaround until I have fixed it, the values are seperated by a null character
