More than half of the files in my library are video formats.

To my understanding video files are not supported, is that the case and if so will there be support for video files in the near future?

If not are you able to recommend a different solution that would support video files?

Thank you.

No, video files not support this would seem to me to be a different product but maybe I am wrong about this. When you say Videos you mean music videos right, do you keep these with your audio files or with films ecetera.

Yes, music videos. They are stored and used along side of my audio files.

The performance softwares that I use (Serato and Rekordbox) treat audio and video files the same and read their tags the same.

I understand that this is probably more complicated than it seems on the surface, but it would be huge if your software could support this.

Primarily .MP4, some .M4v and some .MOV

There could be a few others mixed in but those are the primary ones that I see.

My difficultly with it is there are some tags that to my mind mean something different for an audio file then they do for a video file even if both are music.

Hmm... that makes sense. What sort of tags?

The main things I'm concerned with are release year of a song and genres. Need these to be consistent across all files.

I cant remember now I would have to some research, but for example although not a major problem should release date be the date the song was released or the date the video was released ?

Gotcha, I can see how that could get tricky. If it helps any, for my purposes, I would want tags to be applied for the song.
