I tried several settings in SongKong (5.12 Pro). I always have songs that end up with a number instead of the musical genre.

My current setting is as follows:
Genre : Always replace values from Discogs Style and Genre : Max No 2
Grouping: Always replace values from Discogs Genre : Max No 1

However, I did not find any numerical references at Discogs for gender and style.

For example :

This song is referenced by Discogs
https://www.discogs.com/Kurt-Edelhagen-And-His-Orchestra-Berlin-Melody/release/8030183

However, SongKong has tagged 96 and 98 as a genre.

Hi, these are the standard ID3 genres numbers.

Do you see numbers in Genre or Grouping field or both ?
Do you seem them as numbers within SongKong or within another application ?

Hi
Thanks for your help !

You are right !

I use MediaMonkey for my music collection. If I use another soft, I can see the genre.

Thanks

You may find that it works in MediaMonkey for ID3v24 but not ID3v23 or vice versa, you can convert in SongKong using the Save:MP3 Metadata Tag option
