Hi,

I have just purchased today coming from bliss. I am getting my head around songkong but looking for how to tell if an album is missing art/metadata? I can browse my albums but there must be an easy way to tell if an album need attention?

Many Thanks!

Hi
So within the report (Status Report or Fix Songs) yo can browse by Album Artist and quickly seem album covers missing for that artist, but there is currently no way to just easily browse all albums by all artists.

I plan to add a Browse By Album view soon that will let you quickly browse by Album for all artists , but for now I have two workarounds.

1. From report select View Metadata as Spreadsheet , this includes an artwork column on the Basic tab, so yo can then identify missing albums.

2. Use Jaikoz, its free (if not modifying data) and dispalys the same columns as SongKong

Also, regarding metadata in general I have toyed with displaying a percentage complete metric but not yet done.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply

ok, it was very hard to get to the albums without art and then got stuck in that particular artist folder going round in a loop (could not find a home button as such) so ended up restarting the docker to get back.

Is the browse by album coming soon soon or soon?

also, just wondering why songkong did not add the art automatically? Why did I have to do it manually? the album I input comes from beets so perfectly matched with musicbrainz/discogs and the artwork is available there and on the internet but I had to manually add the art myself? The profile I am using is fix songs, add artwork only.

Lastly, I want to use the folder monitoring and set it up to watch my music folder which has music processed by beets added all the time but nothing happens? I just see the bars waving but it never detects anything I add to the monitored folder?

Thank you

The unable to find home button is fixed in this release, out this week or next.

It wont be this release, but it should be the one after I can see why it would be useful.

Did it match to MB, if not that is the reason, if it did is the artwork from CAA or Amazon, low quality Amazon artwork is not used.

So it monitors for new folders being added directly to the music folder and will continue until you stop it. It ignores folders that already exist in the music folder, files that are not folders being added, and folder added as sub folders of other folders.
