Hi,

is it possible to take all my music files in only (base)folder WITHOUT subfolders for each artist etc.?

If I clear the fields in the "rename mask" in the preference section (file and folder correct -> rename folder from metadate), so the rename mask field is blanc, it will pop up an error if I save this ("Invalid mask please check the syntax).
So I can't realy use the Action/File and Folder Correct:Correct Subfolder from Metadata ...

Are there other possibilities/ action to take all my music files in only one (base)folder?

Thx.!

If you don't get it running in Jaikoz, you can try this appended .cmd script, which does what you want. The explanation for this script is in the .cmd file, but it's in german.

Thx. a lot, Alfg

other way I found is via File -> "Save and Move ..." but it's a little bit circuitous ... task-"Action" would be better ...

Not sure if I understand, but couldn't you just go into the jaikoz preferences and uncheck the "include sub folders when searching for audio files" ?

... if I uncheck the "include sub folders when searching for audio files" my original files, which are in subfolders an which I want to order/ move (with actions) in only one directory, would not be read ... but I have to read it because otherweise I don't see them in Jaikoz ...

Yes it shouldn't do this, that check should only be there for filename correct. I was going to suggest that in the meantime you just set a mask to a field which you dont use, and therefore always blank, perhaps 'custom5' but it turns out that when you actually run Correct SubFolder from Metadata it will not replace the existing value with the new value if it is blank for that song, this is another bug. Should be fixed for next release.
