Is Jaikoz expected to open 2 instances of genpuid for parallell identification of tracks in multi-core systems? if not, it would be nice to double the speed of generating the IDs

This is Item 13 on http://www.jthink.net/jaikozforum/posts/list/303.page

I would have liked to implement this, but genpuid occasionally hangs and Im a bit concerned that allow multiple instances of genpuid is going increase the chance of this happening.

thanks Paul (Administrator)

Hi Enric

Ok Ive added it in Beta 2, it will now use each cpu available to run Genpuid on another thread.

Wow! Thanks Paul!
I am just trying to generate the PUIDS of some dozens of files. I'll let you know if it will hang or not.
