Just wondering if any one uses Jaikoz for tagging bpm? If so... How?
Thanks.

I use Mixmeister BPM Analizer, you can find it here

It's fairly accurate with most stuff but only works on PC

I'm trying to work out how to then copy that BPM into something visible in finder here

Well the Original Poster did not specify Mac or PC but on the Mac there is a program called Tangerine! that does BPM and stores it in the mp3 (I believe). It will also autogenerate playlists based on BPM.

FYI, the sourceforge link caused my Symantec to register a trojan...not good. I did download and test MixMeister and it works very simply. It populates the BPM in column D, but when I move it to column P which is the matching column for importing into Jai, I get an error. Has anyone found an easier work around to getting BPM data imported?

Hi roger123,
I use MixMeister with MS-Windows and it writes the BPM into the Tag of ID3v23 to TBPM. Jaikoz displays this BPM from the Tag-TBMP in the Edit-Window without any problem in the column BPM.

using Jaikoz 10.0 NGS and as a backup Jaikoz 7.1.1

i use beatunes 2. it has several methods of determining BPM; check out the application's help dialogues to figure out which one will suit yr purposes best.

it also detects overall key, generates acoustic IDs, & calculates a color based on the acoustic qualities of a song. can handle loading all the songs from my 75000-song library. far more intelligent playlist generation than itunes' genius feature. very useful for DJs.

it's cross-platform.

highly recommended.

[the developer is also extremely responsive & very open to suggestions. you have to e-mail him, though -- no forums.]
