And if you like to have more memory available in Windows 7 64 Bit with about 8GByte of RAM, use this:

From the Platform dropdown select Windows X64

with this entries in the bat-file:

@echo off
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xms300m -Xmx5000m -XX:MaxPermSize=150m -jar lib\jaikoz.jar -l2 -m2 -f

Thanks to Paul
I don't have any problems with Java Build 1.6.0_18-b07 and Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit. It works like designed.

Maybe you better use the bat-file with this entries and then start the bat-file with "run as administrator":

@echo off
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xms300m -Xmx1300m -XX:MaxPermSize=150m -jar lib\jaikoz.jar -l2 -m2 -f

I think that is the solution
Thank you
Where do I find JRE 64Bit for Windows 64Bit x86? I couldn't find one. Can someone give me a link to download?
It would be nice to have a command like Action -> Remote Correct -> Correct Lyrics which only collects the Lyrics

Action -> Remote Correct -> Correct Artwork
which then only collects the Artwork from the Internet

(This is a must, if you export the metadata to an Excel Sheet and you have to reimport the Excel Sheet because the computer crashed for any reason before you were ready to correct all metadata. And now the Artwork is missing)
I have the same issue. Can't load not more than about 31000 mp3 songs with this bat-file and it seems to me that it depends more or less on the amount of metadata in the files.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xms300m -Xmx1300m -XX:MaxPermSize=150m -jar lib\jaikoz.jar -l2 -m2 -f

I'm running Windows 7 64bit with 8Gbyte. If I increase -xmx or MaxPermSize the bat-file won't start Jaikoz.

So, to use "Cluster Albums", I can only do it for a small part of my collection

Do you know the reason, why I can't set the -Xmx parameter not higher than 1300 ?
The MusicIP ID (PUID) should never be blanc, if you let Jaikoz analyze your songs with "Retrieve Acoustic IDs". -> And then wait for 24hours and start Jaikoz again to get the PUID again with "Retrieve Acoustic IDs"
MusicIP Mixer doesn't collect the PUID !! nor saves it
It only collects and saves the "MusicMagic Data" and "MusicMagic Fingerprint"
with the main purpose generating playlists in MusicIP Mixer.
The only advantage - except generating playlists in MusicIP Mixer - is, the songs are analyzed and as a result known in the MusicIP (AmpiFIND) database. The programs at AmpliFind around the database now generates a PUID for the song and when you use Jaikoz the next day, you don't have to wait for 24hours getting the PUID.
If you only use Jaikoz, you have to run Jaikoz two times for songs that are new to the AmpliFIND database.
Getting the PUID without Jaikoz, you have to use the program genpuid.exe (genpuid_win32_1.4.zip) and write some scripts around that DOS program (maybe the is (was) a Linux version too).
I just donated you £20.00 GBP with Document Number: 2679-9526-1543-1531
So it's 1/5 for this enhancement.
Maybe other users will donate you the remaining parts.
This doesn't happen to me. Jaikoz AutoCorrect works as usual.
OS: Windows 7 64Bit. Jaikoz 3.5.0.
But it depends on the tasks in AutoCorrect, which are the following in my case:
- Retrieve Acoustic Ids
- Correct Metadata from MusicBrainz
- Update Metadata form existing DiscogsIds
- Cluster Albums
- Correct Lyrics
Hey, you found it?! Great
You have a nice day too, if you read the HELP and install Version 3.5.0

In the Help you'll find:
3. File and Folder Correct

and after reading that, use Action -> File and Folder Correct -> Correct Filenames from TAG or use STRG + 9
Why don't you read the Announcements?

Look there!
I don't have any problems submitting MusicBrainz/PUID Pair to the MusicBrainz server! with Jaikoz 3.42 and Windows
go to Preference -> Table -> Columns and enable Sort Artist. Then load your files and look in the Edit-Pane for the column Sort Artist. Delete the Artists in that column, if there exist some values. Do the same for Sort Album Artist.
After you have done that, disable this column in Preference and then go to Preference -> MusicBrainz -> Format and choose for SortArtist -> Never populate this field. Do the same for SortAlbumArtist. Check the other fields too. Check Preference -> Remote Correct -> Discogs too.

And read the HELP
It would be fine to have more profiles for Autocorrect.
At least two: for preprocessing (remote Correct) and one for postprocessing (local correct etc.). These Autocorrect-profiles should be called through a click on two buttons (in this case, if there were only two) in the Toolbar.

Similar to Enhancement 1646
I had about the same problem.
Try to use Preference -> Save -> itunes compatability -> disable "Do not unsynchronise ID3 tags"

and Preference -> Save -> ID3TagV2 -> enable "Save Existing Fields using these encoding Preferences"

When the Tags are looking good in Jaikoz and not in the application, it has something to do with UTF - Text encoding the application can't read
When I sort a column in the edit-window the view-window is sorted for this column too. That's all o.k.
But when I Undo a field in the edit-window (right click -> Edit -> Undo) the sort order in the view-window get lost.
Is this a wanted feature or a malfunction in Jaikoz 3.3.4 Windows version?
Music IP Server is online ! I just tried it.
It would be nice if I type a letter in Update data Combo Box, the Genre with this letter in the first place is selected.
Example: in the Rename or Add Combo box I type R and the selected line is R&B in the open Combo Box or if I type re the selected line is Reggae.
And depending in which Combo Box a line is selected, Enter accepts it (and not going with the mouse to the Rename or Add button and then Click)
It would be nice that you can select (as an example) more than one Arist in the TagBrowse-window.
To get a better overview it is necessary to select Artist like 2Pac, 2Pac & Outlawz or 2Pac feat. Dr. Dre & Roger Troutman etc. when you want to tag the Artist 2Pac.
Hi roger123,
I use MixMeister with MS-Windows and it writes the BPM into the Tag of ID3v23 to TBPM. Jaikoz displays this BPM from the Tag-TBMP in the Edit-Window without any problem in the column BPM.
If Winamp shows you the right names of you songs, so the TAGs are O.K.
You have to adjust you filenames with Preference -> File and Folder Correct -> Rename File From Tags. Check the mask, read the help and then adjust the mask to your needs. After that use STRG+S to save the changes.

Yes, that works better, although needs finessing because if the only match is for a compilation I would want to display that,.....

Don't hide a compilation, make the background in another color (maybe yellow)

we have two different approachs. You collect Albums and they have to be constistent. I collect only songs and I'm not so interested in Albums but I'm interested in the first release date of that specific song, because I like to listen to music of a specific time-interval (or genre or mood etc.).
Paul wrote
If we were just to group tracks by subDirectory it would be okay as long as the user is organizing there files as one album per folder. But this is not always the case either

That's right, it's not always the case. I organize my collection in folders A, B, C etc. organized by Artist - Title. Because I don't like to have the same song 10 times ore more in different albums. Take a look at Elvis Presley etc. His songs come on various albums again and again. I like to tag one song for the earliest release (maybe from a single not the album or there exist no album). And for my nearly 200k songs I use MusicIP Mixer to do the playlists etc.
I agree
Thanks for pointing out. "Undo" indeed does 50% of what I would like the F12 key to do. The other 50% would be to perform a "Redo" on the selected cell(s). Then that way "Toggle" (F12) would just quickly flip the selected cells back and forth so you could see the changes. While you're at it, key mappings for undo (crtl-z) and redo (crtl-y) would be useful too.

This is a good idea

When doing a Manual Lookup I have since realised that the first row in the popup window shows the current tag values in my collection so at least the info in displayed there. It just wasn't clear to me initially that the first row was local data and all the other rows were remote data. I'm not sure if this is doable, but it would have been clearer to me that the first row is local data if the first line in the popup did not have a radio button next to it or if perhaps the first row was placed separately just above the title row in the table.

Same happend to me. When I tried a manual match, I was always looking for the playtime of my song in the AudioView-window, but there I didn't see which original song it was, so I had to remember the line number of this song in the Edit-Window and look up that line number in the ViewAudio-window. In Jaikoz 3.3.4 these original meta-data have a gray background, now I know what this means

Also, regarding setting of preferences to Only Update Empty Fields, I am still confused and need something clarified. If I have set Jaikoz to Only Update Empty Fields for Title and Album and Jaikoz matches a track to a MB track with a different Title and Album field I notice that the GUI DOES change the colour of the cells to Purple (which indicates change) regardless of my preference settings. Are you saying that this highlighting is misleading and that in actually fact the changes are never written to disk when I save?

@mjw, when you use Autocorrect, have you changed the tasks inside? If no, then the changes in the title- and album-fields might be from the task "Local correct Album" and "Local correct Title" and these changes will be saved!!
