You could do this post installer EXE creation.

Use the platform SDK or VC resource compiler to inject the manifest in the EXE.

Then Authenticode sign your installer, using a cert issued by Verisign. This is optional, but highly recommended to in order to be respected by the OS and AV products.

Installing Jaikoz 3.6.0 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

After install completes, Windows Compatibility Assistant pops up saying that Jaikoz did not install correctly.

Please fix the installer to be Win7 compliant.

This may include adding the Vista and Win7 compatible install manifest entries, see:

I can find no uninstall for Jaikoz in the Add Remove Programs list.
When I click uninstall from the Jaikox programs menu, it simply launches Jaikoz.

I am running Vista Ultimate x64.
I am running Jaikoz

How do I uninstall?

I upgraded to
Jaikoz has been running for about a day or so, it was retrieving info for albums, but rather slow.
I start the app with the option of using 1.5GB of memory.
I run on Vista Ultimate x64 with 4GB RAM.
This (normally) allows me to load all of the about 20K songs at once.

This morning no more Jaikoz.
The log shows no crash info.
The Windows logs show no crash info.

The last bunch of entries are all as follows:
May 24, 2008 12:41:54 AM: SEVERE: There was a problem submitting a query to MusicBrainz for Record Number 10,481 with filename 18. (Katarina & The Waves) - Walking on Sunshine.mp3: Error:503

Is there any other place I can see what happened?

I've never been able to use the app without setting it to use more memory, e.g. with 20K files on a network share I have to set the memory to 2GB.

The user experience with too little memory is not great, either files fail to load (defaul settings), increase and start again (1GB), then during tagging it would complain again about too little memory, now what (set to 2GB and restart).

Why not set the app to use all memory, like a native app would have, the memory would be paged out anyway?
Paul, no I'm using the last released version.

How long before the Beta goes to release, if soon I'd rather wait?
I have a few M4a files, Jaikoz is successful in getting MusicBrainz IDs, but when I want to save the updates I get an error "Problem finding meta field"

Is there any way to tag these files?

Thank you, I will give that a try.
Hi, I'd like to delete all the comment entries from my files.
I sort by comment, then I select all comment entries.

If I click the del key only the first comment gets deleted.
If I right click delete it looks like all the files get deleted.

How can I delete all comments without deleting the files?

And, how can I do bulk edits on many files, e.g. change all values in a field in all selected files?

Using Jaikoz v2.3.1 Build 1044 on Vista Ultimate x64.
