Sorry Paul - I didn't see this to just now. And I should have included how to reproduce!

And of course it is now working <sigh>

Sorry for the noise.

Jaikoz 5.0.1 no longer allows me to copy and paste album art. When I try nothing happens.

This is with 64 bit linux 5.0.1

The following message appears on std out:

27/01/2013 11.03.22:com.jthink.jaikoz.draganddrop.ImageHandler:createImageCell:WARNING: Unable to extract image from drop data, trying url instead
java.io.IOException: Owner failed to convert data
I am experiencing this as well. This is with 3.11

Paul:

Let me give it a try.

Thx!

I personally prefer to normalize all my file names by replacing all punctuation and white space with an underscore or other regular character. This makes it *much* easier to batch manipulate files (I'm using Linux)

"Readable" file names are of little value since access to my collection for purposes of browsing and searching are through some tag based interface.

Being able - through Jaikoz - to perform this through auto correction would be very nice. Right now I have to use another tool.

Just my 2 cents.

Paul:

The release notes for 3.5.1 indicate that artwork is now stored in the Ogg Vorbis Metadata_Picture_Block.

Is there some conversion routine I need to run move the artwork in my existing collection (15k titles) into the new standard?

Thanks,

-steve
Paul:

Jaikoz 3.2.2 on Linux (amd64):

I've got a set of flac files which consistently fail during the generate PUID phase

Here is the output:
08/09/2009 10.37.07:com.jthink.jaikoz.manipulate.CreateMusicIPAcousticId:analyseData:WARNING: Using 2 Processors to create acoustic Id
08/09/2009 10.42.08:com.jthink.jaikoz.manipulate.musiciphelper.PUIDQuery:generatePUID:WARNING: TimeOutException:Retrieve acoustic id for /var/tmp/scratch/rip/jukebox/flac/nick_drummond/where_ill_be/03_man_in_the_moon.flac had not completed after 5 minutes so was cancelled

Any ideas?

Thx!

Hi All:

I have transcribed a significant number of lyrics from my collection and placed them inlyricwiki. These are high quality - in my opinion - transcriptions - and I would much prefer to use them over lyricfly. The majority of my collection is in flac

Given that Jaikoz doesn't support lyricwiki I am wondering if there is a safe way I can programmatically import lyrics from lyricwiki? In particular it looks like the lyrics are stored - at least in flac files - as a VORBIS COMMENT with an id of LYRICS. Would importing be as simple as rewriting the LYRIC comment?

What I don't want to do of course is do something that screws up Jaikoz's recognition of tags.

Thanks in advance,

-steve

I ran into this problem as well and discovered that the issue was the presence of id3v2 tags. Removed idv32 tags and the Jaikoz (and Flac) no longer saw these as corrupt.
