Hello,
Sorry fo the newbie question, but java is a little bit like Greek to me.
I would like to run SongKong in a way that I had the files renamed to Artist-Title-Album. I don´t want the track number and I want all of the files to be moved to a root folder, let´s say "MyMusic". All of the songs inside sub folders should be moved to that root folder. I don´t like too many folders. I want just one folder will all my songs inside it. Is it too hard to be done? If not, could someone post the code here?

Example:
AC-DC - Hells Bells - Back In Black

Thanks,
Ademar
Hello,
I have just sent the support files to support@jthink.net
Ademar
I am using SongKong 3.4, build 1042, full version.
I have tried several times to run it. As it takes time processing the songs, I just leave the program running and leave the computer on.
What happens is that when I return, the computer has shut down and I have to reinitiate it. Then the infamous Windows message (Windows 7, x64) appears: "Windows has unexpectedly recovered from a chrash..." or someting alike. When I start SongKong again, I get the same message: that SongKong crashed. What could have happened?
Thanks for your answer.
So, following your advice, if I want to add the trackno, what should the code be like?

One more question: I can´t understand what the exact meaning of "Rename Mask" and "Compilation Rename Mask" and "Filename masks" are. What is the difference? If I have the field "Filename mask", why do I have to have a "Rename mask" as well? Isn´t it enough to say one of the fields?

Ademar
Hello,
I don´t know about programming, so I needed some help in order to have my songs organized like this:

- A folder with the main artist name
- Inside it, all songs named as Artist-SongName-Album.

Let´s say:

U2/U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday - War
U2/U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday - AnotherAlbumName

The purpose of having the album name is just to separate different versions of the same song, let´s say, a unplugged version of a previous existing song. I don´t want to have separate folders for different albuns. I want to find all U2 songs in just one place.

Could someone help me with that?
Thanks.
Thank you very much for the reply.
Inadvertently I cleared the Compilation Rename Mask field.
Would you please send me the original code so I can copy and paste it there?
Regards.
Hello,
Sorry for the maybe silly question. How can I automatically create folders with the band/artist name only? Like U2, for instance. I don´t want a subfolder inside U2 folder with the album name. I just want folders to organize the singers/bands, I am not concerned with the albums.
Could anybody help me out here?
Thanks.
