I found your reference on Musicrbrains' Wiki, and that looks right. I also found the selection to display the embedded ISRC code for mp4(a?)'s in Jaikoz. But when I look at the test file's embedded info in Jaikoz, it is still not reporting what should be the known embedded ISRC.

I am waiting for a new album to release on iTunes shortly (which has been uploaded using Apple's iTunes Producer via direct link) for which I know the ISRC was embedded using Producer. Then I will pull a sample from that album to determine if the ISRC is visible in Jaikoz. (But I don't think this is the defining test for Jaikoz vs Apple and the metadata.)

...so, thank you Paul, and standby.

Thank you Paul.

Absolutely. ISRC is fast becoming the standard tracking element for digital rights management tracking. More info can be found here: www.ifpi.org/isrc. It is part of the tagging standard for a number of digital media standards beyond mp3, and therefore very important to be able to read and/or assign.

Please advise where to upload or send an AAC which should contain a known ISRC (I have the ISRC code for the song, and need to confirm its presence within that file).

Thank you for your assistance.

I downloaded one of our AAC files posted on iTunes.
I was told all AAC's on iTunes carry an ISRC if posted there.
I tried all of my programs to read the embedded ISRC, then downloaded Jaikoz to check the ISRC.
I loaded the file into Jaikoz-now where do I look in Jaikoz to find the embedded ISRC? I looked on the main page in Edit selection. I tried ID3 edit and the top line for the file is a 'black line'. No information.
So okay. What am I missing here? How do I get to the ISRC (or determine that there was none embedded)?

As a side note, who reads the ISRC's and does Soundscan really use these for their counts? My client is all worried that the ISRC's aren't properly placed and he will not get his ASCAP points...

Thanks for the assist.
