Magic today. I did download it today and it worked! Thanks.
I tried:

[jay@jay-pc-rtc Downloads]$ tar -xvf songkong-linux.tgz
install.jar

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

Stil get the error
I am trying to install the latest SongKong in Linux and I am getting an error.

The version is SongKong 5.9, the filename is songkong-linux.tgz, and the file size is 152.3 MB (152,319,369 bytes).
When I run the command "tar zxf songkong-linux.tgz", I get the following error:
[jay@jay-pc-rtc Downloads]$ tar zxf songkong-linux.tgz

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

The process generates an install file(install.jar - Java archive (application/x-java-archive) - 53.4 MB (53,444,096 bytes)). Trying to run that gets this error:
java -jar install.jar
Error: Invalid or corrupt jarfile install.jar

Any ideas?
Installed SongKong on a OpenSuse box. Each time I try to run it, it stops with a message that the database is corrupted. A zero byte file "database.delete" is created in my Prefs folder, but deleting it doesn't change anything.

I was able to run SonkKong in an Arch Install before.
For certain files, I get the above error. The message is invalid argument.

the log reports:

19/11/2006 09.13.09:SEVERE: IOException on attempting to save file:Invalid argument

Is there a specific tag or field that causes this and is it correctable?

Thanks.
