It still didn't work and I'm not sure I'm following you exactly as to what I need to do...

I uninstalled the program via the uninstaller and reinstalled but obviously somethings remained because when I reinstalled, my settings (and musicbrainz login) were still there. I really wanted to start from scratch to make sure I hadn't changed any settings that was causing the problems.

As of now my iTunes isn't a factor. My music is all screwed up anyway so I really just want to start from scratch and organize my music in a folder structure like: Music/Artist/Album/Title

Here's where my problem starts. I apparently don't know how to do that. Do I set the base folder to a brand new folder or how to I set it up to analyze the file name and set the folder structure how I want it?

Thanks for the help and baby steps you're taking with me. This program has a lot of options and is very powerful, I guess maybe too much for me! I have another program that I bought too that is an add-on to iTunes but it only will process a couple hundred songs at a time. That's not an option with 15,000 songs so I'd really like to figure this out.

Thanks!
I'm not real sure if this is what you're asking me to do.
This is what I got when I used those settings.

Still trying to rename and organize them to: Base folder /iTunes /Artist [folder] /Album [folder] /TrackNo-Title

Thanks Paul. I must have accidentally deleted (and then saved) the mask settings without any info in them. Can you help me populate them correctly or should I just uninstall/reinstall the program back to defaults?

Thanks again for your help.

D.
I'm trying to organize my music folders for iTunes but keep running into problems.

Basically all I want to do is in my iTunes folder have: a folder for the Artists with a sub-folder for the album and within that the track and song name as the file.

I've tried what I thought was right from the instructions and keep getting it wrong. I've attached a photo of what's happening.

If someone can walk me through this with detailed instructions, I'd greatly appreciate it. This program is apparently way to complicated for me.

Thanks!
Hi Paul,

Thanks, I found where you were talking and it worked perfectly! I was trying to change the settings from within the Preferences for something else. Thanks for helping me.

Derek
Paul,

Can you elaborate on that? I've messed around with a couple things in the program and apparently I'm not doing the correct action.

I just got done reading the userguide online and I still can't figure out how to solve my situation. I'm hoping someone can tell me; if this is possible and how to do it if it is.

I have an external drive that has 8000 mp3 files saved on it. I've ran Jakoz on it with AutoCorrect, Retrieve ID's, AutoCorrect from MB. I'm not sure it did anything to the files.

A bunch of the mp3's are in separate folders by Artist name and some just say "Unknown Artist"

My questions are: Can I have Jaikoz rename the Folders these songs are in by Artist and/or can I just move all the mp3's into one folder on that drive?

It'd be great to be able to save the mp3's within their folders, with the folders named correctly but I can't seem to get it to do that. I still have paths that are E:/Music/Unknown Artist/Unknown/<song> (in this case Track10.mp3. When I add it to iTunes though it shows up with the correct Artist and Track info)

ANY help or advice would help!

Derek
uninstalled java and reinstalled it and it works...
So I tried this program once, decided to purchase it, and now when I went to use it I got this error.

Missing Security FilesC:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Jaikoz\settings.jai

I've tried to uninstall, reinstall, deleted everything I could find related to the program, cleaned my registry, temp files and NOTHING fixes this error every time I reinstall and start the program.

Any solutions or did I just waste my money???
