It's happened to multiple songs, in one instance the MB ID is the same, the Acoustic ID is different..

1.

Acoustic Id
f791cf5f-9c63-49b3-9c8f-233e8f23d4a8
458222f1-64f2-4878-adc6-32e43811a620
d0e8386d-1191-4577-8a59-4312ba3cabf4

MB Release ID:
1c46c0ec-867f-4251-983a-e7f6d58ac5f5 (Same one on all three songs)

MB Recording ID:
b4256429-8dc4-426b-8f57-59da0c49ccb4 (Same one on all three songs)

2.

I don't even know what the names of these songs are now that it's all messed up.

One is pop instrumental, one is a hip hop song, and one seems to be a hip hop instrumental...

3.

MusicBrainz has matched it to

"press rewind and fast forward and pause like on a video recorder, but mor like dvd because I don't have to rewind"

There are more, but this is an obvious one that stands out.
Not sure if this a problem on your end and where the Acoustic IDs are stored(MusicBrainz)

Yet, if my music is matched via the Acoustic ID/MusicBrainz and it is a completely, blatant different song.

How do I resolve this?
Understand that, but I want it to use Artist and not 'Album Artist'

Having 'Various Artists' for 99% of my files is not what I want.

I try to replace it and it seems I may be deleting too much since it blanks out everything.
Supported Jaikoz back in it's infancy - check join date....

Yet, it's been a while.

Step by step, in the process of Jaikoz doing it's autocorrect, how do I make it move my music to different folders.

What I want done is to move the music regardless of the current folder it is in, is to create a Folder by Artist - Then Album - Then the Track in that Album.
Another questions I have is regarding Jaikoz deleting duplicates...

Is it able to tell the difference between Acoustic, Instrumental, Clean and Explicit?

Is it also able to tell the difference between music that is transcoded and obviously poorer quality?

Or just does it go by numbers such as 320 vs 192...even if the 320 is transcoded from a 128 file and keep the 320 file?

I regularly use both Jaikoz and SongKong, they are both completely different programs with two different purposes.. I am happy to have paid for both, I can't see how SongKong could ever replace Jaikoz, Jaikoz allows for full manual editing and tons more advanced capabilities than SongKong. SK's only purpose is to auto identify and tag, if it can't auto match it doesn't do anything.. This is where you need Jaikoz to fill in the blanks.

If someone only uses Jaikoz to match the tracks via the Acosutic ID, then it is a moot point.

Because a lot of freeware allows manual editing such as Mp3tag.
Close to two weeks later, I found out the answers to my questions...minus the transcoding one.

In a nutshell, if you have Jaikoz there is little reason to have Songkong.

Yet, I don't think it is right to alienate the Jaikoz users.

This is evident when I tried to give Paul the benefit of the doubt, and assumed he was just on vacation....don't think this is the case.
Yet, why is there a vacation 'notice' from the past in the SongKong forums and not the Jaikoz forums?

You want people to pay twice for essentially the same program?

It makes more sense to send out a mass e-mail to Jaikoz users and offer them an upgrade 'fee' to go from Jaikoz to SongKong and just shut down Jaikoz.
This was offered when you created Jaikoz Pro and the main improvement was the 5000 discog limit was removed for PRO.

Yes, Jaikoz users do get free upgrades for life, yet if their program is only getting updated once a year and the other program is getting updated once every 30 days......doesn't really matter, does it?

You have stated yourself that Jaikoz is more work, with little return.

If you want to capitalize your return, you should change how you go about things...

I guarantee you that you got little return when you gave out free licenses on PS Audio.. You give free licenses to reviewers/major bloggers/YouTubers, not some average Jo Schmo on some forum.

I've already given my opinion about how to optimtize your marketing/sales via PM in the past, yet you was nervous of it being cracked.
Posted two questions on the forums...close to seven days ago..no responses and still not 'approved' to have the questions posted...

Weekends are limited, which is my only freetime, not getting help for a paid product seven days is memorable - e-mails were even sent....was looking at SongKong and most are the reviews are negative

Currently looking for alternatives..
Well, I can open Jaikoz, since the hard drive that crashed was on a separate hard drive.

How do I access the database without rewriting it, by opening Jaikoz again?
Odd Question/Scenario:

My external hard drive crashed(right now being checked out by a clean room company) with all my MP3s.

Yet, I've used Jaikoz on my music(before it crashed), which also isn't installed on the external hard drive....

But, is there some cookie, or history file...that I can open that Jaikoz has hidden away in it's system files, that can tell me of all the music that Jaikoz has scanned? So, I'll have an easier way to replace this music, knowing what music to look up...
Recently updated to the latest version of itunes, and the latest version version of Jaikoz, the one released today, and have it update itunes, and with the newest version of itunes, installed...Jaikoz is stating that Itunes is not installed...
I've often wondered, why in iTunes, it would list some artists by last name, and some others by first name. And then I realized this 'sort artist' field...Which is pointless to me. But is there some automated way that Jaikoz to make the sort artist field the exact same as the artist field?
Had this problem also, just didn't report it, because I was able to fix it....

Try emptying the cache, and load your music files, and see if that works, and reply back and let me know...
Tagging relies on metadata AND/OR acoustic ids BUT you need to run Retrive Acoustic Ids first in order to create the acoustic ids in the first place, this might be why you are not getting as many matches as you would like.
I didn't even know the previous two versions were out...because all I do is look at the date on the front page...and that hasn't been updated since May

The latest release is Jaikoz 3.1.0 Build 1064, this was released on 29th of May 2009
Ok, so its been a while since I used this program, used autocorrecter on my 9,000+ files, no problem. Latest Jaikoz/Java. But, when I hit save, after autocorrecter, all these errors popped up, and just kept popping up after I closed the error. And I couldn't close Jaikoz, with the X, doing that just froze it, had to use task manager...

Well, just messing around, it happens when I try to do a couple 1000 soungs at once, if I do 50 or so songs, no problems, but it shouldn't be a memory problem, because all the songs are still loaded, I've just selected 50 songs..
Edit: Scratch the above observation; I found out how to fix that 300 second problem. I just had to disable 'submit and analyze tracks that are unknown MusicIP, I have no idea why this fixed the problem, let alone why it was a problem, but it did...

Are they drmed wma files, these cannot be analysed, nor can super short songs. If this is not the reason can you post a question on the MusicIP forums.

No, none of my tracks are drmed files, and I'm exluding super short songs..

Like it happens quite a few times...

There's more, I'll post in the Music IP forum, but they may just say its an Jaikoz problem...
- run "C:\Program Files\Java\jrockit-R27.5.0-jre1.6.0_03\bin\java -jar lib\jaikoz.jar"

The system can not find the specified file, anyone else have any luck? Like how do I put the file in the .bat, where specifically?
Yea...well I don't have a firewall on...
Well, upgraded, but now memory is an issue, when I tried to autocorrect all 9,000 of my files, then I tried to just select 2,000 files, memory is still an issue...

This popped up a few times, then I tried to do just 25 files, and the pop up error still popped up..

The 300 second error still also showed up, even when 300 seconds hasnt passed, along with the following error, seems to be a different song...

This one also, actually this one a lot

Actually when I post this, and look back at it...

8:01:45 PM and 8:01:46 PM, is not longer than 300 seconds....

May had a few more issues, but I stopped the autocorrecter, because...

Never had this problem before, as you can see by my previous posts..but I just tried autocorrect on one song, by itself, and it was completed within two minutes...so, yea...

And no, my internet never went down, or there was never an issue with my internet connection at the time...
Ok....so what about the 'unicode' issue, and the 'can not be analysed' issue?
Well, I figured so, also one more thing, because its weird, half way through the Retrieval Process..

I am getting mostly messages like

Dec 8, 2008 1:56:13 AM: WARNING: Unable to retrieve an acoustic id for song 4,615 fileF:\Desktop\Music\MuSic2\01 Tracks That Kill Volume 1.mp3, because this track cannot be analysed

Which to me, means its connecting, and has nothing to do with my Port 10001, that pop up didn't pop up at the beginning, and its giving me these messages, like its connecting, yet half way through...

Dec 8, 2008 2:07:05 AM: WARNING: Unable to retrieve an acoustic id for song 4,826 fileF:\Desktop\Music\MuSic2\Club Queen Jumpoff 3\09 DJ Just K - Uptight (Remix).mp3, because analysis took longer than 300 seconds

For every single track, Japanese or otherwise, like its no longer able to connect, like it was an hour ago....no more unicode messages, no more can not be analyzed messages, or a new acoustic fingerprint has been submitted....It just seemed to do that(longer than 300 seconds at the end)

Because it I get the message

Dec 8, 2008 2:08:49 AM: INFO: Retrieved 1,672 acoustic ids successfully
Dec 8, 2008 2:08:49 AM: INFO: Unable to find a match for 2,349 tags

Which means it is working, half way through, then it seems to shut down or somethin...I run over night, when I sleep, so I am changing nothing...
Ok, well I installed it, and I get the same message, just with Japanese Characters in place of the boxes...

Dec 7, 2008 1:28:03 PM: SEVERE: There was a problem submitting a query to MusicIP for Record Number 1,794 with filename F:\Desktop\Music\F15\09 ???? - Strange Whispers.mp3: Unable to retrieve acoustic id for song 1,794 because file F:\Desktop\Music\F15\09 ???? - Strange Whispers.mp3 contains unicode chars and canot be found, try renaming file

Are you sure? If that's the case, I thought it being the software...it should at least prompt to install it, if that's the issue...
I have a lot of tracks that have Japanese Characters; Video Game Soundtracks & Overseas CD's. The title/artist always appears as boxes.

So, I get numerous errors like

Dec 7, 2008 12:14:28 PM: SEVERE: There was a problem submitting a query to MusicIP for Record Number 245 with filename F:\Desktop\Music\F02\04 ????? - Snake Eater (instrumental).mp3: Unable to retrieve acoustic id for song 245 because file F:\Desktop\Music\F02\04 ????? - Snake Eater (instrumental).mp3 contains unicode chars and canot be found, try renaming file

It is possible to get support for this in the near future?

Edit: In the error code, and in Jaikoz, it doesn't appear as question marks, they appear as boxes.

Also, instead of creating a new thread...

I also get this error, every once and a while...

Dec 7, 2008 12:41:13 PM: WARNING: Unable to retrieve an acoustic id for song 1,419 fileF:\Desktop\Music\F12\04 Yeeeeeeeeah.mp3, because this track cannot be analysed

Is this a Jaikoz error, or a MusicIP error, also analyzed is spelled with a 'z'
I think you need to go volunteer your services for musicbrainz, and fix some of their bugs
Ok, then if that's the way it should work; then there is an apparent problem.

I select, Manual Correct Tags from MusicBrainz, it only finds two albums; variations of the same album.

But, When I select 'View This Track Online at MusicBrainz'

It's seems there are at least 6 albums, that apply to the song.

Well, I loaded up Jaikoz, this morning, and that image didn't appear.

So, it seems the problem is intermittent..

Also, when I manually tag the track from MB, what is it based against?
Hopefully, it should bring up every album, that the track is on, because just messing around with it, it just brings up different variations of the same album(Country, Worldwide, etc.), which doesn't seem really useful.
