28th of August 2007 Jaikoz v1.11 Build 1031 released
This is a major release that adds support for OggVorbis files and provides a new audio-independent editing tab
New Features
- Jaikoz now has Audio-Independent View and Edit Tabs, these contain the same fields as the Detail Pane. This means two things, we can start supporting other audio formats (such as Ogg Vorbis). and it is easier to edit some fields than it was with the ID3 Tab because fields that were previously all within fields such as the User Defined Text field now have separate fields. The ID3 tabs are still available for editing MP3 files, and changes in one tab are reflected immediately in the others..
- Jaikoz now supports Ogg Vorbis. All the fields on the General tab, and Detail Pane can be stored in Ogg Vorbis files.
- There is now a partial German translation, thanks to Ingo Heinicke.
Enhancements
- The Table Settings now allow you to select the fields to display in the Audio Tab as well as the Generic tabs and ID3 tabs.
- When changing columns in an Edit tab using the Column Control, the modifications are now reflected in the equivalent View tab(s).
- The user license is now held in the users home folder rather than the installation folder. This prevents problems with administrator privileges.
- Renamed 'Jaikoz to 'Jaikoz Audio Tagger' to help users remember what it does if it hasnt been used for some time.
- The View Panes now have more descriptive titles to make it clearer what they do.
- The distinction between ID3v10 and ID3v11 has been removed because it served no useful purpose, the only way to differentiate between ID3v10 and ID3v11 is that ID3v11 contains a track number so Jaikoz should automatically save to the appropriate version based on whether there is a track number.
- Rows are now only only sorted when the user initiates it by clicking on the column header but not on data changes. This resolves the problem whereby a column is sorted, the user makes a modification to a field in that column which causes its position in the sorted column to change which is confusing.
Fixes
- Previously the Title for Manual Tag From MusicBrainz was incorrect, this is now fixed.
- Previously occasionally could get Copy constructor error when saving ID3v1 files, this is now fixed
- Previously during loading you get read only warnings if the directory name ends in .mp3, this is now fixed
- Previously if open folder such as D:\shared\files and then try to add a folder such as D:\shared\files2, it incorrectly complains because of the similarity of the names, this is now fixed.
- Previously if add a folder that contains subfolders, close all the files and then try to add the folder again it complains, this is now fixed
- Previously if a V22 file contained multiple User Defined Fields only the first would be displayed, this is now fixed.

Linux Fixes
- Previously Linux was unable to create Acoustic Ids for some files, even though they could be created with Windows or OSX, this is now fixed.
